To be a universal product, OnPayConnect required each new customer to have a custom file, known as a pre-processor, that communicated with the core payment processing system. Pre-processor development took time away from product and feature work with no budget for additional staff.Â
Demand for pre-processor development increased because Sales regularly signed new clients and accounts. New clients and accounts received custom software while existing customers waited for features.
